Haq ul Naas Food/Ration Package

RJS Life Care started the project “Haq- un - Naas” in April 2021in the holy month of Ramadan which still continues. As is evident from its name, Haq – un– Naas i.e ‘ the right of people’  is designed for that segment of the society which is unable to bear the cost of their monthly grocery. In the holy month of Ramadan these expenditures increase three to four times then normal. Under this projectRJS Life Care provides food packages containing dry ration to  deserving families in Ramadan every year. The packagesare delivered at the door step to preserve and respect the dignity of the family. As most of the funds received are mostly  Zakat money, the managingcommittee conducts survey and identifies the deserving families which fulfill the religious criteria of “Masarif – e – Zakat”.

Purposes of the Haq – un– Naas in Ramadan:

Fulfilling Religious Obligations, Supporting the Fasting Community, Promoting Solidarity and Unity, Addressing Hunger and Food Insecurity, Spreading Joy and Hope……to make access to sustenance in the Sehar (pre – dawn meal) and Iftar (evening meal to break the fast) purpose of the Haq – un– Naas.

Achievements:

To achieve the sustainable development goals, Goal-1, Goal-2, Goal-3, Goal-10, Goal-12 and Goal-17 under the project “Haq – un – Naas” RJS Life Care conducted following Ramadan food drives:

  • April 2021, Ramadan 1442 Hijri
  • April 2022, Ramadan 1443 Hijri
  • March 2023, Ramadan 1444 Hijri
  • March 2024, Ramadan 1445 Hijri

Conclusion

By aligning with these SDGs, “Haq – un – Naas” Ramadan food drive not only provide immediate relief to those in need but also contribute to broader sustainable development objectives aimed at creating a more equitable and prosperous world for all.
