Environmental sustainability & Natural Disaster Response Fund

RJS Life Care believes that integrating environmental sustainability principles into natural disaster response efforts is essential for building resilience, reducing vulnerability, and promoting long-term recovery and development. By addressing the interconnected challenges of environmental degradation, climate change, and disaster risk, communities can better prepare for and respond to natural disasters while safeguarding the planet for future generations.

Pakistan is one of the most vulnerable countries to climate changes. In 2022, Pakistan experienced significant floods exacerbated by climate change. As a responsible organization RJS Life Care responded in this natural disaster through project “Flood Relief in Health & Food” that covered Free medical camps, Ration/Food packages distribution & Hygiene kits comprising anti mosquito repellents, female hygienic pads with water cleaning articles. “Rehabilitation of Flood affected houses” for infrastructure reconstruction.

Furthermore, awareness seminar on the subject of “Climate change & Business Practices” for university level students to design eco-friendly business policies is also an effort of the RJS Life care of community resilience for environmental sustainability.      

Purpose of the Environmental sustainability & Natural Disaster Response Fund

The purpose of “Environmental sustainability & Natural Disaster Response Fund” is to provide Emergency Relief and Response in natural disasters, Infrastructure Reconstruction and Resilience Building,Community-Based Adaptation & Capacity Building of the affected community.

Achievements

To achieve the sustainable development goals, Goal-3, Goal-6, Goal-11, Goal-13and Goal-17 under the project “Environmental sustainability & Natural Disaster Response Fund”RJS Life Care conducted following activities:

  • Flood relief in Health & Food at District Rajan Pur, south Punjab, Pakistan
  • Flood relief in Health & Food at District D.G.Khan, south Punjab, Pakistan
  • Flood relief in Health & Food at District D.I.Khan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
  • Rehabilitation of flood affected houses in Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan
  • Climate change & Business Practices awareness seminar GC university, Faisalabad, Pakistan
